PVC strip curtains for doorways, cold rooms and clean areas

Strip curtains are a wear part — they get hit, scratched and washed daily. What decides how long they last is the plasticiser and the ribbing, not the price per metre.

Amber-tinted PVC strip curtains hanging in a warehouse doorway

We run DOP, DOTP and paraffin formulations in 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm, with single or double vertical ribbing to stop strips sticking in high-traffic doors. Widths from 100 mm to 400 mm, cut to your doorway, in 25 m or 50 m rolls.

For food areas, specify amber insect-proof or clear DOTP. For welding bays, specify the dark green or bronze UV grade. For freezer doors, specify DOTP rather than DOP — it stays flexible at lower temperatures.

Why the plasticiser matters. DOP is the cost-effective standard. DOTP is the low-migration alternative for food-contact and indoor air quality requirements. Paraffin-based compounds are used where a non-phthalate declaration is requested.

Rails and hardware

Curtain rails, suspension hooks and bottom weights are supplied with the curtains so the doorway is delivered as one kit rather than three purchase orders.

Specification

Nine grades, one table.

Minimum order 300 m per grade. Mixed grades can be combined in one shipment.

Standard formats

What comes off the line.

Cut-edge strips in 50 m rolls are the standard build. Wide round-edge strips and soft sheet run on the same line in wider formats.

Non-standard widths are slit to order, subject to a 300 m minimum per grade.

Anti-static resistance
Surface 10⁴–10⁶ Ω, lattice 10⁷–10⁹ Ω. Light green tint for identification, so a wrong strip is visible on the door. Smooth, single-ribbed or double-ribbed.
Insect-proof colour
Yellow is the only colour available — it emits the light that dispels insects. Specifying clear defeats the purpose.
Hanging hardware
Stainless steel rails fixed to the underside or face of the door frame. A 200 mm strip needs three punch holes, a 300 mm strip needs four.
Selection

Three questions before you order.

Is there food on the other side?

Then specify amber insect-proof or clear DOTP, and ask for the non-phthalate declaration.

How cold does the doorway get?

Below freezing, choose DOTP over DOP — flexibility is what keeps strips hanging straight.

How often is the door hit?

Forklifts mean nylon-reinforced. Constant hand traffic means ribbed, so strips do not cling.
